My wife and I are expats and have lived in Ghana for more than a year, about 2 1/2 hours from Kumasi. We've stayed at the Four Villages about 3 times now, and can say with confidence, experience, and objectivity that this is the best place we have stayed in Ghana. The B&B is really a home with 4 rooms.... more

This was my second visist and it was well worth it. Chris and Charity are superb hosts. The rooms are clean and the food is delicious. There is an adorable cat on the premises that took a liking to me. For the money you can't do much better. more

Charity and Chris Scott are the Innkeepers with big hearts, a beautifully welcoming home and delicious food. After our first visit, we felt like members of the Scott Family and we count the weeks now until our next visit south for more pampering. (Meals can be prearranged and there is a thoughtfully stocked fridge in each bedroom.) more

The Four Villages Inn is a treasure - extremely clean, well run, excellent breakfasts, and with exceptionally helpful and friendly hosts. It is an oasis in a hot, dirty and noisy city (colourful and interesting as Kumasi also is!) The market tour by Comfort was a highlight of our visit to Ghana. I can't recommend this Inn too highly. more

Some friends and I stayed a night at the Four Villages in July and enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms are a bit more expensive than other hotels in Kumasi, but well worth it. My single room was very large and comfortable with AC and a big bathroom. The Inn is very tidy and feels like a comfortable home.... more

A friend and I were travelling around Ghana for 10 days, staying mostly in hostels and inns with or without running water - all for under $25 per night. As a splurge we spent 3 nights at Four Villages which cost about $80 per night but included so much more than the cheaper hostels. Unlimited free pure water was provided,... more

If you like large impersonal hotels where Ghanaians scurry around in uniforms this is not the place for you. Chris has put together an intimate hotel which has a mom/pop bread&breakfast feel to it. I stayed there with my sister for 3 nights and had a great time- Chris drove us to the City of Brass and even drove us... more

As a 63-year-old female traveling alone and visiting Africa for the first time, I was delighted to read about Four Villages Inn when I researched my trip, and it more than lived up to my expectations. My room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, the bathroom was huge, the food was plentiful and very good, and the host was a... more

I stayed at the Four Villages for several nights - both for business and then for leisure. I chose Four Villages because I felt it would be both safe, comfortable and characterful - and very suitable for a lone female traveller. It delivered on all fronts and I would not hesitate to recommend this property to all those sensible travellers... more

This is not a hotel. It's a lovely private home filled with books, photos and ornaments. The bedrooms are all individually and carefully themed and each has a large clean bathroom, a fridge, kettle and a supply of filtered water. The inn is some distance from the town centre, which is a bit of a nuisance, but taxis are both... more
