Carrying on with our journey from (basic but clean Jacaranda hotel review) we headed out of Nairobi to start our Safari towards Lake Nakuru, there were 6 of us in the minibus which was comfortable, we all got to know each other, so hello to Gordon, Ann, Cathy & Paul (NEWLY WEDS) and to Preuis our driver/guide.this drive was going... more

We stayed here on the first night of our Safari which we booked through Virgin. We stayed for one night and it was a lovely place to relax after the days long drive. The lodge is in a wonderful location. When we woke in the morning and opened the curtains, the animals were wandering right up next to our balcony.... more

We stayed at the Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge on our way to the Masai Mara. Although it was just a one night stay, the hotel proved to be one that we would go back to anytime, given the chance. The front desk staff were helpful, and even gave us tips on what to do once we get to the masai... more

Having booked with Somak on the Thorn Tree Safari Lake Naivasha Simba lodge is where you stay on your second night after visting Lake Nakuru for the most part and passing lake naivasha whilst on route to the mara. Somak safaris were excellent, our guide was all we could of asked for. Lake Nakuru was excellent, lots of white rhino... more

I have lived in Kenya for over fifteen years and stayed three nights at Naivasha Simba over the New Year. Given the consistently high standards of lodges and accommodation in Kenya this was a complete let down and massively overpriced. The rooms were adequate, but the main problem was with the food. I genuinely felt sorry for the staff who... more

A well designed hotel (apart from the bar which is rather cavernous and unwelcoming in appearance) but let down by poor standards in some areas. We stayed for two nights whilst visiting the adjacent Hell's Gate National Park. The ground floor room with additional outside shower and balcony was fine, but the double bed only had a bedside light on... more

Only being able to stay 1 night at this lodge was the only down point to a good stay. Arriving at 6pm and leaving at 7am didnt allow alot of time to take in the experince of this place but what can be said isthat it is better then a travel inn on the motorway. The facilities, staff (even come... more

We have just returned from a safari in Kenya. We bit the bullet signed a waiver and went against the foreign offices advice so we could go to Lake Naivasha and I am so glad we did. The place was absolutely beautiful and this Lodge was by far the best one we stayed in. We were overlooking parkland and were... more

Stayed for just one night - wish it was a lot longer. Facilities were wonderful, food excellent, staff friendly and professional. Take the boat ride - no need to go all the way to Crescent Island - just take the 1hour option which hugs the coast to the North of the hotel; plenty of hippos and beautiful bird-life to enjoy.... more
