This was the best resort available in Ukunda, great beach and the water is so hot, great pools, the rooms are not small, the food is so so..but ones should not forget its africa and not caribe. disadvantages are the broken road to mombasa and river crossing in a ferry boat, which is an experience for itself but i would... more

My husband and I stayed here for one week after a week long safari. We arrived at 10pm after a 15 hour trip from the Masai Mara. We had paid for an upgraded room, the location of which was great as we had a pool view. The upgraded price included for tea making facilities, however when we arrived there was... more

This was the most relaxing holiday we have been on for a number of years. My wife and I travelled to Kenya in July 2009 with Thomas Cook and had booked to stay in the Neptune Paradise Village, a complex of 3 hotels (Village, Paradise and Palms) not fully explained in the brochure! We booked into the basic Village side,... more

We booked the Neptune Paradise but was put in the Neptune Village instead, due to the Paradise side being closed for over a year, But Cosmos are still taking bookings for the Paradise and letting you pay extra for it. The resort was VERY quite, the pool didn't get cleaned and became very dirty on the 2nd week of our... more

We were really apprehensive about going to Kenya, but were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the Neptune Village, Diani Beach. The Hotel itself was 3 star which is about the correct grading. We wanted a beach holiday to 'veg out' which is what we got. The rooms are a bit basic, but clean & as the weather was brilliant, we... more

Before i start the review : Buy your Visa at the airport with $50 as they dont take any other currency. the rates of exchange are much better in Kenya then the UK and in Ukunda the black market exchange rate is soooo much better then the hotels. Example : Hotel £1 =104 schillings which dropped to 90 schillings whilst... more

After a 2 night safari in Tsavo East we arrived at Neptune Village Resort. Greeted by a cocktail we were shown to our rooms. I was disappointed with the room comparing it with the accomodation at the Aruba Lodge. It was clean though and basic. The mosquito nets didn't hang down to the floor around the bed. The bathroom needs... more

Go for it! Amazing place, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. The food was excellent, as was the service and smiles. I 100% recommend this hotel. DO go for the boat trips with the locals on the beach! We tried it even though we were informed not too. Especially with Yusuf on his boat called cannabis (!). Not only was the trip... more

Transfer to hotel: Oh my word… how long did that take!! We were in an air-conditioned mini coach which was fine, although the journey did take about 2 hours, due to roads and ferry! It was certainly an adventure..and gave you an insight into what it is like for the to live out there Flight pick up from hotel was... more
