We got into Erfoud late at night and felt like both the Chergui and Xaluca hotels looked a bit cheesy and were overpriced and loud, so we settled on this simpler hotel. The man at the desk was very nice, but didn't want to negotiate the price, although there was only one other room occupied for the night. So we ended up paying 380 MAD, although decided against the 60 MAD breakfast, which seemed overpriced. The rooms are simply and attractively decorated, which was appealing to our taste.
The hot water was not working in all of the rooms. The first night they ended up giving us the keys to two rooms--one with a double bed without hot water, and the other with two single beds and a shower with hot water, which was nice although inconvenient. The second night we got a better room with both. The guy at the reception desk took us next door for dinner and we had a great local experience at someone's house, which was definitely a highlight of our stay there.
