The Azur looks like a seedy two storey wooden motel somewhere in South Louisiana! The reception area is basic and the staff are not always so welcoming. The breakfast room is also not too exciting but the pastries are fresh every morning and the coffee is strong.

The rooms are showing their age though the beds are comfortable. Room air conditioners vary in level of cooling and noise. The bathrooms are also basic but there is always hot water. Some roaches have been seen but management do spray the hotel from time to time.

The pool is usually open (except in the "winter time", basically July through August) and is clean. Towels are often in short supply - take your room towel if you have one!
