I must say that I have been a little disappointed by Aa'Qtansisi, since most of the reviews are quite enthusiastic. I will rate it "Very Good" because it is better than "Average". Pity that there is no mark for "Good" only! Dinner was not that amazing, and the main problem is probably that the dining room is really in the... More

Stayed here one night after a stop-over from Joburg. What a lovely charming guesthouse, which has been beautifully decorated and has much character. Even the garden is well presented with a lovely pool. The owners, Pierre and Ria, were welcoming and friendly. The option for dinner was great since we were tired from travelling and did not want to go... More

We stayed one night at this charming guesthouse, on a quiet, green, leafy street. Our room was spacious, stylishly-furnished and very comfortable. The opportunity to eat at the guesthouse without having to tour the town to find a suitable restaurant was appreciated and we had a traditional South African meal prepared by Nico, the Aa’Qtansisi chef. Breakfast was beautifully presented... More

Almost a year since our first vist - and things still look extremely good. Ria was wonderful, as we needed to stay a second night at short notice and it wasn't a problem. This time we stayed in Room 6, which is simply decorated in blue and white - and with a wonderfully comfortable 4 poster bed. It also has... More

Just an update on Aa'Qtantsisi guesthouse. We still visit Graaff Reinet on a regular basis, at least two to three times per month and we still prefer this guesthouse to the other accommodation in town. There have been times when they were fully booked when we wanted to stay there and have now tried to book way in advance to... More

We happened across this guest house without referring to any guidebook and it was a great find! Extremely friendly and hospitable, comfortable room, pleasant garden with plunge pool and an excellent dinner (provided you like meat) and breakfast. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Such a lovely place! Each room decorated with a personal touch and with loooooots of love. Quiet place, lovely garden with a little pool and places to relax and enjoy. Very warm welcome, excellent service, wonderful breakfast. The R900 for a double room are well spent, especially considering some of the other B&Bs in town.

I knew Graaff-Reinet was ultra-cute and quite cool, but I didn't expect one of the most stylish and beautifully decorated guesthouses I had ever stayed in. Aa'Qtansisi Guesthouse is a surprise. We stayed for one night en route to St Francis Bay and were impressed by everything: great location, amazing decor, lovely garden, kiddie extras (toys, colouring pages, chocolate lollipops,... More
