I had a chance to visit tanzania, kilimanjaro and I happened to stayed in the above hotel and am dissapointed to say that it was the worst place I have ever lounge. Staff are not trained to standard at all, rooms are untied w concroch to say the list. Ovarrall I was nt satisified with they are service and I... More

Ok I admit it!! – I was lucky. I Googled something along the lines of “climb Kilimanjaro” and about number three on the search list was Private Kilimanjaro. One e mail to Beth Deacon later I was hooked and convinced that this was the company that would get us to the top of Africa’s highest peak. Pre Arrival for trip... More

This is still the nicest hotel in Moshi with quality rooms, nice large swimming pool, and beautiful landscaping. There are 27 rooms, 4 of which are suites with 2 rooms and 2 queen beds. All the rooms have great amenities including comfortable beds, flat screen TVs, air conditioning, safe, telephone, hairdryer, and refrigerator. There is free WiFi all over but... More

Spent 4 days here (before and after climbing Kili). It is very comfortable in a lovely setting. Staff couldn't be more helpful or cheerful. Our room was well furnished but there was a lack of clothes hangers in the wardrobe and there were frequent cuts in the electricity. We only had one hot shower - the others were cold which... More

Currently staying at the hotel now and I feel that everything is as it should be in a hotel: clean, bright and comfortable. We had air conditioning in the room and plenty of space. The beds were comfy and the service good. When staying in Africa, be sure to expect power outages. I had one in the middle of a... More

we stayed here before an after our Kili trek. the pool was great until we were inundated by 20 local kids who destroyed the ambience and relaxation by seizing the pool and taking over, whatever was the owner thinking? You either run a hotel or a charity but not bot, complaints fell on deaf ears. The food is okay but... More

My hubby and I spent 3 nights total at Sal Salinero, 2 nights prior to our Kili climb and 1 night after. This is a nice small hotel with friendly service. The first 2 nights we spent in the hotel part close to the bar. This can be a noisy area if there is a group at the bar celebrating... More

I stayed here before and after a Kilimanjaro hike. I have to say there were many positive things: beautiful gardens, nice pool, nice bar area. But the overriding memory is of the negatives: towels delivered late to room, and somewhat dirty looking on be occasion, lacklustre staff particularly at the restaurant, poor food considering the supposed standard of the hotel.

While the power went off repeatedly, this is a common occurrence in this area, so could not be helped by staff. The gardens here are beautiful and everything is spotlessly clean. While the rooms aren't luxurious, they were clean and comfortable and when the power was on the air conditioning was a real treat. The staff are extremely friendly especially... More

During our stay here, the electricity went off repeatedly throughout the day and night (no air conditioning, no lights, no TV) with no explanation by the staff or apologies. This made me think it was a common occurrence here. Also, the staff are very tip-motivated (even more so than other hotels in the area). My husband mentioned that we didn't... More
