looks like Zara has tie ups with this hotel or partly own it.. but they run on minimal amenities. Hotel is tucked outside of Moshi. Beds, bathrooms etc are very basic( very backpacker style). The only positive is that shower works and you get 10mins of hot water, when you have been longing for a hot shower after the hard... more

It was a holiday of a lifetime - going up to hike Mount Kilimanjaro. Zara Tours and Springlands Hotel did all the arrangements. Being a first time hiker I was petrified and had thousands of questions on what to expect. The Hotel and Zara Tours were so kind and readily answered all my questions, which was really reassuring. On getting... more

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Springlands as part of an African trip in January/february 09. booked through Trailfinders and expected nothing more than basic but clean before we set off to climb kilimanjaro. Given that this was midway through our trip we had stayed in some fantastic places throughout south africa botswana and zambia and all on a... more

A shame this place was so far, on a bumpy dusty road, from Moshi as we tended just to hang around here rather than go exploring except for the forest walk we did with U Pemba to see the monkeys & local life (well worth the asking price of US$15). The hotel is basic with small rooms and the power... more

This hotel was very pleasant and picturesque. The grounds were lovely although the location of it is quite a barron secluded area 10 mins from the main town of Moshi. You would be advised to get a taxi if venturing outside the hotel at night time. The hotel was very clean and well looked after. The staff were probably a... more

We had three different rooms throughout the hotel and not one of us had a good nights sleep. Noise from staff, other guests, buses turning and security staff created havoc. They ran out of food at every meal and staff were offhand and unhelpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more
