Our stay at Gibb's Farm was excellent. They had top-notch food, attractive rooms, and genuinely warm and friendly staff. See http://ellieandabbie.typepad.com/bright_eyes_blue_eyes/2009/12/lake-manyara.html for pictures and more about our experience at Gibb's Farm. more

Having flown in from Zanzibar & then embarked on hours of arduous roads via Jeep, it was refreshing to arrive somewhere so civilised by evening. Gibbs Farm is a coffee plantation with a bunch of different lodges tucked in to the hillside. I remember their Cat & Dog well... Only there for 1 night but I would go back... more

On safari with 5 friends we stayed one night at Gibb's Farm. As soon as we walked into our rooms we wanted to stay much longer. Fabulous place. The 'room' (which is actually your own bungalow) is spacious and beautifully furnished. You have 2 large beds, an sitting area, a veranda (ours overlooking the coffee plantation) and a big bathroom... more

We reached Gibb's farm with weary mind and soul only to be revived completely until we were ready to leave. The setting of the farm is very beautiful and so is the new cottages which are almost as big as a playground. One of the way to show respect to the cottages are to take of the shoes and wear... more

Gibbs Farm is in a beautiful setting, no denying that. We paid extra for a cottage instead of one of their regular rooms. Our cottage was huge and tastefully decorated - surrounded by a garden and with great view of the valley below. We were given a tour of the cottage when we arrived and as soon as we set... more

We stopped over here on the way to the Serengeti, and were completely captivated. Each beautifully appointed cottage is surrounded by flowers, and there are beautiful views of the coffee plantation from the writer's cottage. They grow all kinds of food for the kitchen in the huge garden. more

I have just returned from Africa from a two week stay, including a 6-day Safari in Northern Tanzania. Although I enjoyed many incredible sights on Safari, the highlight of our stay was the night we spent at Gibbs Farm, a lovely lodge and cultural community located amidst the rich coffee plantations and farmlands of Northern Tanzania. We arrived in mid-afternoon,... more
