I absolutely loved my stay at the Bijay Niwas Palace Hotel at Ajmer. The Hotel set in acres of greenery with beautiful trees, fountains and stately buildings were awesome and charming. The calls of the peacock and the tranquil atmosphere was great. Very calming and interesting. The suites were clean, spacious, beautiful, royal and most charming. The family portraits, pictures... We had a very nice and warm welcome at Bijay Niwas Palace. The staff was very friendly and courteous and the rooms had nice "old times"-charm as thy seem to be mostly in their original condition and not modernized. This fact may be a point to criticize - you could keep the original charm even when replacing the old electrical... More

Our tour was arranged by Travel Inn and included stays in several Heritage hotels like this one but I have to say that this hotel was the high spot of our tour and quite unique in character. We were upgraded on arrival to 'The Maharajah's Suite' which comprised of a large sitting room, large bedroom, adjoining dressing room and a... More

My friend and I had booked this hotel by mistake(we didn't know it was so far away from Ajmer). It is in the middle of nowhere and we were more than delighted when we arrived at this little gem palace after a long bus ride from Jaipur. We had booked a double room together and when we saw the "room"... More

This is a wonderful Heritage property at the end of a country track. Being an old palace every room is different. Some are in fact large suites. The ensuites have high class modern fittings. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good too. This was a complete contrast to other places we visited.

Last days hectic work left me tired, if it wasn't for this place ,I would have been in bed till asked to move on next customer visit. Before the first ray of light emerged from the far horizon ,I woke up with anticipation on a call of Papeeha (Common Hawk Cuckoo) ,the idiosyncratic -Brain fever call.Heralding the arrival of monsoon. Nothing... More

Stayed for 1 night in May 2012 as I was travelling to Udaipur from Jaipur. The hotel (read mini palace) is at the end of a dusty track surrounded by farmland and small villages. I stayed in one of the huge top floor suits, which was well over 1,000 square feet plus the exclusive use of a courtyard. All mod... More

Organised for us by Audley Travel this stop gave us the ideal opportunity to relax after a hectic schedule. We loved it and Abel Patras the manager and his staff were wonderfully attentive. Don't expect 5star quality as the Palace is a little worn around the edges and wifi and electrics sometimes erratic but that kind of added to the... More

Unfortunately only stayed for one night as part of an organised tour.We were made to feel like family, and very well looked after.OK there was not much choice in food but it was well cooked.OK its not modern,OK its a bit frayed round the edges but it had charm and friendly staff and a character all its own

We were booked to stay here for 2 days here but were so disappointed with Bijay Niwas that we checked out after only a few hours and went on our way. Although the external facade is quite impressive, we found the welcome rather under-whelming - a glass of Pepsi and a hurried move up to our room. The bedroom was... More
