I recently stayed at the Golden Express and found it great value, especially compared to the flashier- and much more expensive- hotels in Old Bagan. For around $24 a night, you get clean rooms of a decent size, a nice swimming pool, a delicious breakfast and obliging service. Highly recommended. more

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it. Quiet rooms, nice grounds with a pool, good food in a candle-lit outdoor setting (or indoor if desired). Nice little breakfast buffet. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Convenient to Old Bagan for the temples. Free pickup from the airport. more
