Enjoyed staying at the Arthawaka Hotel for two nights in April 2013. Staff are super friendly and even though many do not speak English terribly well, they are unbelievably helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I got the impression the place is still bedding in. Some of the staff are a bit inexperienced (which I suppose is... More

This hotel was perfect for us while we toured around Bagan. Nice staff, decent breakfast, clean rooms, quick internet, and a salt water pool. It was within walking distance to new Bagan restaurants. Biking from here to the temples in Old Bagan was within a day's work too. Great value for money.

The hotel is absolutely fine, relatively cheap for Bagan but it's clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I spent 3 nights there, hired a bike (don't expect the latest Specialized models) from the hotel each day to explore and got tired thighs, hot and lost but had a fantastic time. The hotel is only a... More

Great spot to explore Old Bagan and lacquer village. I ate at the in house restaurant one night which was good food at reasonable price. There are many alternatives down the road. Good bikes for hire at K3000 per day. Happy with clean room that was serviced each day. AC was ok but not super effective on 38 day but... More

Room was fine, but hotel custom is to leave windows open between guests. We did not notice, and had an awful night with outside noise and smelling other people's cigarette smoke. To his credit, the manager next day was very apologetic, sent us a tray of complimentary fruit. He is there 7AM to 10PM, and the staff generally most obliging.... More

the rooms are small but nice, well screened for mosquito, unfortunately our aircon was very noisy, we where offered a different room after unpacking, but decided to stay with open windows. The lobby is nice but if you sit there you have to ask the staff to but the air conditioning on. I got a lung problem so this tends... More

The hotel is really nice. Staff very friendly, rooms spacious and clean and a nice feel to it. Free wifi is available in the lobby and they do have bikes for rent. In hindsight I wished I had rented elsewhere though. The only reason being they have no gears and with the hotel being at the other end of new... More

Stayed here as part of a small group tour and were a little disappointed because we were due to stay at the Thazin Garden. However the Arthawka was pretty good – large welcoming reception area and rooms arranged on two floors round a reasonably sized pool. The room had good mosquito screening, aircon, fridge and kettle (but no tea/coffee!). Good... More

Staff was friendly and helpful! Fortunately our room was on the 2nd floor. The view was better than it might be on the first floor (from there you just see the fence or the wall surrounding the hotel). The window board was full with pigeon excrement, but there was also a mosquito net in the window. Room was spacious with... More

The hotel staff are the most helpful that I found through Myanmar by far. They made a lot of arragements and made our stay really pleasant. Our arrival was really late at night and they allow us to check in 5 hours before time with no extra charge. Defenetly I would recomended this one
