We were here in a calm period first half of May and the hotel was quite empty. From the outside the hotel looks not really appealing, but the inside is lovely decorated in some mock manor style. The nice thing is that all over the hotel you can find all sorts of collectibles, almost making it a small museum. Although... More

hi traveller we stayed 2 nights in this hotel. we booked the cheaper rooms, without no frontview and no balcony. this was not a big issue, cause they have a bistro with balcony on the 9th floor. the owner must be a beatles & british fan (see the many reviews before) For us the hotel was a bit too expensive,... I would agree with a number of the previous reviews... The hotel has a great location right near the park gates and the views of the area are gorgeous. The interior decor has an overall dark feel to it, despite any decent lighting inside. For North American tastes, the food may seem a little bit different, but overall, it is... More

This hotel is very well located for visiting Mt. Seoraksan. There are many different rooms is this hotel. When we arrived the hotel was full although booked weeks before our arrival. Our room was large but very dark with no view and no sitting place. The breakfast could be improved. The staff in the restaurant speaks hardly English - hard... More

I loved the location of this hotel - so close to Seoraksan National Park. I was there to go hiking and it only took a couple minutes to walk to the main gate of the park. The hotel was easy to get to from the bus station in Sokcho. You can take a bus but I optioned for the taxi... More

The hotel is conveniently located in Mt. Seoraksan. We were receieved by a Korean gentleman who could speak the best English in the hotel. We were impressed but that was it. Though the hotel has a British theme, no one else in the hotel can speak understandable English. The rooms are pretty dark. There were no ceiling lights and were... More

We stayed for two nights, three days. Location is perfect for the national park hiking. The breakfast buffet was very elegant but I wondered how they had the idea it was what westerners would eat. I did find plenty to eat though. Our room was very clean. It had a large TV and everything we wanted. The bed was rather... More

We stayed at this hotel for several nights over Seollal (Lunar New Year) and got a great price on one of the booking sites that brought the price down to about 120,000 won a night. Considering that the regular price was something like 200,000 won a night, that was a great deal (and I think 200,000 won a night would... More

Easy to find. All taxis know the hotel. Better yet, take the 7 or 7-1 from the Express Bus Terminal. Can't miss it. Last stop on the right before the park entrance. Kudos to Ray Jung, concierge extraordinaire for his patient and thorough day planning and restaurant recommendations. He even wrote instructions in Korean to give to bus drivers to... More

-Stayed 2 nights. Location is great within walking distance of entrance of the park. The hotel feels extremely british but finding somebody at the reception who spoke passable english was not easy. 2 days in a row we had difficulties in getting hot water for the shower. No breakfast buffet, a single plate called “english breakfast” was served. Quality debatable.... More
