Casa Mango is great. This place is very nice with a resort-like garden and swimming pool. You will get a few little lizards from the yard in your room, but this is part of the experience. Casa Mango has a few small studio apartments that are really great but also at least one larger apartment and a guest house in the back by the pool. the quality of the construction is very well made and they even have a safe for passports and belongings inside the rooms.

Casa Mango is located in Pro Cab, which is supposed to be a very "IN" place to buy property and build new houses. Guest Houses like Casa Mango are no exception. Its a beautiful short walk, bike, moped ride, or car ride to the main beach in Cabarete. walking distance is about 7 minutes. i did it because i ran out of coca cola. its very quick and easy to go back and forth. Pro Cab is also safe. it has a gate and guard. so normally you will only see other residents, vacationers and cleaning women or yard care takers... more
