Rusty narrow spiral staircases lead you to your room with a sliding glass door. Campy style kitchen which is probably fine for young students or true budget travelers, hotter than hell without a/c at night, so if they do have a/c definitely request one of those rooms. The guest noted great location and great value and for the money, you know that you aren't getting a full amenities hotel. Exactly. You are paying $40 for a studio apartment, an unbeatable price in Cabarete. We do have rooms with AC but the client did not want to spend the money on that. All the mattresses are newer high...

I stayed at the Casa Blanca Hotel for the month of February 2009. This hotel is very close to the main part of town and to the beach. Walking everywhere is easy. On arriving at the Casa Blanca Hotel we were greeted by William and Dorothy our hosts. What a lovely quaint hotel the Casa Blanca is. My husband, son and myself really enjoyed the lovely garden with pool as well as the efficiency room. i needed a cheap place to stay before meeting up with my family. im usually skeptical with anything that i book over the internet. I was pleasantly surprised by casa blanca. the one person room that i stayed in was totally worth the $20 per night. i would gladly return. more

We just returned from our trip and we stayed at Casa Blanca. When I booked the room, I got one w/out AC, but was told by William that the room got "Great ocean breezes". However, what he failed to mention was that I needed to keep all the windows shut and locked at night so that I wouldn't get robbed.... more

Our rooms are very nice. They have hot and cold running water, modern bathrooms with indoor showers and toilets, new orthopaedic mattresses, mosquito screens, and stoves and fridges. Camping? That would be sleeping on the ground, mosquitoes, camp stoves, no fridge, no hot or cold running water and no toilet. It depends on what you expect for $32 a night...

Casa Blanca is a simple, no frills place as is most of the accommodations in Cabarete. It is not luxury, so if you have a picky spouse or partner, it may not be the place for you. Go to the posh and more expensive places if you want that. Few rooms offer A/C or TV, but for me that was... more

We wanted to experience the Dominican Republic without all the trappings of a large self-contained resort. Casa Blanca fit the bill perfectly.
