Great location and friendly staff. As we were there at the end of April I enjoyed sitting in the bar by the fireplace. The suite rooms are the way to go, however a little pricey and we didn't seem to have any heat or hot water on the first night of our stay but that changed by the second night.... More

Having chosen one of the suites at 133 USD per night to spend Christmas was certainly a good deal, as everything pointed to this place being by far the best in Castro. The location is excellent, as the central Plaza is only two blocks away. The lake, on the other hand, is in front of the hotel, which allows great... More

It probably makes a big difference visiting Chiloe in the rain, the most probable situation, or when the sun shines, highly unlikely. We arrived here when the sun was shining and this had a big impact on our evaluation. This hotel has good clean rooms and hot water. If you are willing to limit your calorie intake and have limited... More

We walked in here, after seeing the reviews on Lonely Planet and Rough Guide in our guidebooks. Liked the location, one block from the plaza, and two blocks from the lively art market. We paid $133 for room and breakfast, and our room - in the newer room - had a comfy king bed, plenty of room and a simple... More

We stayed for one night at this hotel. The rates for the double room lured us in, however on inspection they were small and while clean, they felt somewhat dingy and not value for money - USD86. The shower was tiny! We chose to view the suite rooms in the new wing which at 133USD (including breakfast) was a jump,... More

We spend three nights in this hotel in late October. We, very wisely, chose to pay the supplement in order to have a room in the new wing. We don't know about the old section, but our room ( the hotel calls it a matrimonial suite) is very large and beautifully furnished, and the cream of it was the spectacular... More

Nice place, good location. I stayed with my wife and two daughters (2 year and 3 months) over a long weekend. The room was fine, with a nice view. The heating system was disappointing, very unstable, on and off in a weird pattern. Service was very nice, friendly people with good will. The problem was that the hotel lacked of... More

Be careful when you book in this hotel and make sure you are set up in the new area. I cannot stress how important this is. I stayed for 3 weeks straight on a business trip in the old part of the hotel and the rooms where smaller than my college dorm room. The shower was ridiculously small and the... More

We stayed here for one night in December 2011. The hotel is located within walking distance of the town's main square, where most of the bars and restaurants are. The free parking for guests is much appreciated (although it was very crowded and it took me quite some manoeuvering to get out of my spot again in the morning). The... More

We arrived at the hotel at 1800 for a 3-night stay to find our room in the new wing has been given away, in spite of us booking 1 month in advance with a confirmation voucher to prove this. We had no choice to stay the first night in the old part. Tiny room and very shabby. Moved to the... More
