We spent one night at this hotel. It has a very good location on the waterfront and across the street from a lovely restaurant. The room was large (we had a room on the very top floor, these have balconies and a great view) The bathroom was small and rather dimly lit. There is no elevator, but getting a room... More

We stayed three days in Feb. 2011, right in the middle of the high season. It was the moment when people from all the islands (and all over Chile) come to the Feria Costumbrista (an annual festival when people celebrate local food and traditions). This was the reason we had to pay nearly US$100 per night, not exactly a great... More

Very functional place with small but very clean rooms. Helpful staff, basic breakfast selections. Good value for the price.

After a night in Cucao, we wanted to go back to Palafito Hostel and get one of the double rooms with private room. Unfortunately, the hostel was full so we finally ended in Unicornio Azul. It is a nice place to stay but certainly not a hidden gem like Palafitos. Correct but nothing special. We paid 67 USD for one... More

We stayed 2 nights and the hotel needs to be fixed it looks run down. We didn't dare to go out on the balcony it looked old and not secure. The lady at the reception was nice but charged us for a printout. Breakfast ok

Yes it does have character and interesting architecture, yes the owners are very nice people, but the facilities are just not worth the $60/night. I stayed in the top floor and practically froze the night I spent there. Problems with the heater, they said. I will not stay here again.

After a pleasant enough drive through the rolling hills of Chiloe, we reached the hotel late afternoon. It wasn't very difficult to spot, being bright, bright pink, and one of the larger builings along its particular street. It's not in the best part of town, although the view across from it of the bay is not horrible. It's one of... More

Was the most expensive hotel we stayed in while on Chiloe. The view was the best thing as we had a top floor room (quite a walk!). There is a nice little area above reception to have an evening drink or read.

Manipulated pictures of Hotels became rare- but in Unicornio Azul this is standard procedure of advertisment. For good reasons. Though architecture was great, some 15 years ago, the word maintenance is unknown to the management. So you finish up in designed rooms that have not been kept up to date for 15 years. All is made of wood, which is... More
