This is the second time I have stayed at the Grand Montana and will be back for more stays. Yes the location is a 10 minute walk from the gondola, but I didn't have to walk through any rubbish dumps or building sites to get there, I have no idea what route some people took. If you really can't face... more

The sense of place around the Grand Montana makes you feel nervous from the start: an unmade road strewn with waste, stray dogs emerging from the piles of rubbish, and a broken sign that simply refers to apartments, next to an unfinished hotel block. What then follows comes, broadly, as a pleasant surprise. Helpful staff, clean hotel, large rooms, good... more

The grand montana was central enough to the town, about a five minute walk. it was a good ten to fifteen minute walk to the gondola lift but there was a shuttle bus going very regularly. It was based on an apart hotel basis which was lovely, it was the best thing about our trip. There is under floor heating... more

Overall this was a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was small but more than sufficient for the kids. It was also supposed to shut at ten, however, the staff were in no rush to send the children out, if they chose to stay on. The cleaning staff were honest and... more

The stairs down to the restaurant are steep with no rail. On the first morning one of our group slipped and broke three bones in her spine. The hotel looks good superficially, the rooms are big and the staff try to be helpful - but the quality is so poor. The toilet flushed continuously all week - the staff could... more

I was a little bit concerned about staying at the hotel after reading the reviews but I was surprised. The two studio rooms we had were modern and spotless. The cleaners were excellent . We had halfboard and the food at breakfast time and dinner was plentiful and hot and lots of options and the staff friendly. It is in... more

Myself, my husband and two of our children stayed in this hotel in January and found it great. We had a two bedroom apartment which was huge and spotless. The hotel staff were friendly without over doing it, polite and helpful when you needed help. We opted for the half board option and found that at breakfast we had lots... more

Well as the first review says, this hotel doesnt do what it says on the tin, it looked very grand in the brochure but in reality there was rubbish all over the road outside the hotel, the food was served lukewarm and without heaters underneath, so therefore after sitting in the dining room for 1 and a 1/2 hours you... more
