The hotel has potential as it is beautifully placed above the city and has a very spacious set-up. However the service was well below expectation and also below what we experienced at other hotels in Jordan (e.g. Kempinski, Movenpick) Here is the list of the shortcomings: Apart from reception staff, communication in English is difficult to impossible. This lead to... more

Rooms and common areas were spacious, clean and well maintained and looked almost new. Interesting village-style layout and some of the rooms must have great views although ours looked onto a courtyard. Views in the restaurant were excellent and the breakfast buffet (included in our rate) was pretty fine too. Free wifi in the lobby and food/drink places was an... more

We stayed two night with a day trip to old Petra our focus. The hotel is built as an old style Middle Eastern village with each room a separate building sprawling up a hill and into a valley. The concept was stunning, the paths and gardens sprinkled around the complex were great, We were right at the top and the... more

Reception was "professional" Room was perfect. You heard the birds and the dogs around in the valley Buffet breakfast (easy to get fat) Restaurant is medium Swimming pool is nice and a must after a long walking day This hotel is used mostly by organised tour for a one night stay so it's mass tourismus Value worth I would say,... more

Has the potential to be lovely as rooms villa style spread through gardens. Rooms large and clean with stone floors, if basically furnished. Unfortunately they seem to have a problem with their drainage as the drains in our bathroom stank and the bedroom felt permanently damp. The restaurant really lets it down though (there is only one). Food at breakfast... more

The resort is a very impressive re-construction of a village setting. Very imaginative in design, and the lighting at night gave me many photo-opportunities. A great place to return to after the hassle of the crowds in Petra, and a warm indoor swimming pool to relax in. I know that some members of the party had issues with the room... more

We loved the design and hillside layout of the hotel with its small courtyards and restored village houses for rooms - such a change from the big chains and monolithic hotel blocks. It was worth being outside Petra to enjoy the peace, quiet and unusual atmosphere for three nights. It can be a long, cold walk getting to and from... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night in order to go visit Petra. I love the old rocky look the buildings have. The distance from the city makes this hotel very quiet, relaxing and peaceful. The room was very clean and spacious. Service was great. We had a great time with the breakfast buffet and the dinner. I would... more
