I rented a car at the Amman airport and drove to the hotel in the dark. I booked thru asiatravel.com. I found no website to the hotel and asiatravel.com could not provide me directions. The best they could do was advise me to ask around once I got to Wadi Musa. I was not happy about this. I called the... more

We rented a car while in Jordan so this place was great. 20 min outside of Petra. Pretty setting and BIG comfortable room. Only minus points are: the shower leaked and the dinner and breakfast buffet were ok, nothing great. They have free wi fi and a bar which are both nice. They packed a decent sack lunch too. more

This hotel was undoubtedly very good when it first opened over 10 years ago. These days it is still a good hotel with a very nice feel to it. However, it is probably a good 3 star property rather than anything better. We stayed for 3 nights. Rooms all appear very attractive and the whole design of the hotel area... more

This is a delightfully built hotel, created out of a converted village about 10 kms from Petra. It is quiet, and the staff do their utmost for their guests. The rooms (choose one of the superior rooms for the space) are good and there is free wireless internet connection from the reception area. However, it is otherwise apparent that the... more

This was a real highlight for me and my 2 young teenage kids were also completely happy. It's hard to know what happened in the case of the poor reviews on this site....perhaps the rooms that were so unsatisfactory were upgraded. The whole setup of a prior village now a hotel is just terrific. How often do you find something... more

As long as you are not budget traveller, you must try this hotel. We stayed in Junior Suite and it's so great. We took more than 400 photos just in the hotel. Don't take it as 5-star hotel, just a resort with unique character. There is only one restaurant open, food is ok for our 2-night stay. It's a bit... more

Taybet Zaman Hotel is a re-constructed Arabian Village. [During our travels we saw another abandoned Arabian Village with striking architectural similarity]. The hotel is comfortable and nicely appointed by the standards in this part of the world. By western standards, I would suggest Taybet Zaman is 5 star for character, exceeds 4 star amenities but is somewhere between 3 star... more

I stayed here for 2 nights while exploring the Petra area. The hotel claims to be 5 star, but it's not.. 3 stars is about right. There's no internet in the room, no room service and very ordinary service. I couldn't find anybody to help with my luggage either. The room was nice, spacious, clean and comfortable with a nice... more

May"be it was a case of too high expectations.I had read all about this Bedouin Village/turned hotel in several high end publications.I was very excited to get there for New Year's Eve ,half way through a family three month world trip.We had booked two nights through an online broker .I am still too scared to mention the price incase my... more
