Best thing to say - Location, 5 min walk to Petra site entrance. Two nights were part of package tour, so no real choice. Complaints during my stay - No air conditioning, my room stayed at a constant 85 degrees blowing hot air; water pressure insufficient to properly flush toilets; and no hot water during an entire afternoon. Comparing notes... more

Layth, Moussa, Ahmed were wonderful/ efficient/ responsive with the emails and follow up to my enquries on reservations including recommending a fantastic driver with mini van for my family. Driver's name is Saad. When we checked in, they recognised my name and was friendly like on the phone/email. it is apparently a family-owned business. has bell hop service. Room booked... more

It's pricey for what you get but everything in Petra is. The location was great and the facilities were adequate, it wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad either. The Turkish bath in the hotel was great, I went twice I enjoyed it so much. more

We didn't really like this hotel, although the location (2 minutes walk from the entrance to Petra) is very convenient. If I went to Petra again (highly recommended by the way - AMAZING place) I would go to the Petra Palace just a couple of minutes up the road which looked much nicer and wasn't much more expensive than Edom... more

My partner and I had a 2 day trip to Petra whilst holidaying in Egypt, and got a deal with this hotel. The location is superb, 2 min walk to the entrance to Petra. However, you pay for what you get. It is clean enough, but everything seems a little tired looking. We ate and slept here which was fine,... more

The lobby was pleasant and the front desk staff was helpful. However, the rooms are extremely shabby. The bed linens appeared to be clean, but I found something very unpleasant on my pillow case, which really grossed me out. The carpet and desk chair were worn and dirty. The grout in the bathroom was filthy and full of mildew. The... more

I had a business meeting at Petra city and when driving to Petra the first thing you can see is Edom Hotel because of it's height. I walked in and reserved my room. The front desk was very nice and understood my English. Then at my room I was asked if I like it or would rather another view. When... more
