Great hotel, plush beds, myriad of tv channels, fantastically tasty buffet style dinner, great view on mountains of Petra, lovely pool and turkish bath, fun cave like bar to smoke hubble bubble in the evening and just 10-15 minutes walk from the entrance of Petra. The owner is very friendly and will help arrange private driver to take you wherever... more

You must do the Turkish bath. Staff is so incredibly friendly, you feel like you are at home with long lost relatives. more

A great hotel. Comfortable beds with good sheets and towels. Very helpful staff. Good food. We stayed an extra day it was so nice. NB: In the front rooms you will get disturbed by the call to prayer for a few minutes at 4.30am - but it's worth it! more

Me and my husband have reserved a room in Amra Palace Hotel. We have had a great stay, we find this hotel very high quality, very clean rooms, and public area, hotel ambiance very warm, very nice designed lobby, very friendly staff. The location of this hotel make it easy for us to access by walking distance to Wadi Musa... more

I agree with Fortaleza_7. This place is geared strictly for tour groups. As a solo traveller, I found the service wanting. There was no pickup, as had been pre-arranged. "Someone forgot," was what I told. Checkout desk had no record of my booking number. "6am breakfast" = 6:30am or later. One milk jug for the entire dining room. Had to... more

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of an organised tour. The hotel has a lovely entrance with water fountain and roses, and a nice terrace overlooking the village of Wadi Musa. The rooms were certainly not plush but comfortable enough with satellite tv, good clean bedding and shower/bath combination. Unfortunately the aircon didn't seem to work very well... more

I just recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and was overall pleased. I particularly liked my spaceous, clean and confortable room & bathroom.Good linen and my bed was also great. Swiming pool is small but nice, note that you have to pay at reception to use jacuzzi, sauna & turkish bath ($7 din) and also you have to... more

Was part of a package tour, so not sure of star rating or cost to stay here, but it is very comfortable, clean and has a lovely view over Wadi Mousa. The buffet dinner & breakfast was plentiful and very deliscous - the best I had travelling through out Jordan & Syria (in basic accomm.). Within the hotel they have... more

Really everything that you could say about the Amra Palace has been said by others. Its not in the best location but as others have said its a short taxi ride to the gates of Petra. The hotel is opposite perhaps the loudest mosque ever, but strangely we didnt hear its call in the wee hours. (we were on the... more

When visiting Petra, there are two accommodation options: either in one of the hotels close to the archaeological site, or in the nearby town of Wadi Musa, a couple of kilometres from Petra. If you have a car or you don't mind a short, cheap taxi ride from Wadi Musa to Petra, an accommodation in Wadi Musa is certainly cheaper.... more
