We spent 2 nights at Movenpick Nabatean Castle in December 2009. We had chosen this hotel despite its high price because we wanted a good comfort level and no hassle, thinking that the famous Swiss brand Moevenpick should be a guarantee. Unfortuntately we were completely wrong and we felt really cheated by this hotel. Would you pay a 5 star... more

We were there on a group and I was amazed with this hotel. Everything was perfect; the room, the restaurants, the view is something to die for and the staff (specially the waiters at the bar) are SUPER friendly and attentive. Everybody welcomed us like they knew us. I totally recommend this hotel and I would love to go back. more

My husband and I stayed here during our trip to Petra and enjoyed ourselves very much. It is away from the town, but an easy cab ride or shuttle bus to Wadi Musa and the Petra Gates. The lobby was nice with chandelier and other nice lighting and seating areas. There are nice views of the mountains from the restaurant... more

My partner had booked a romantic getaway to Petra, sounded wonderful a hotel suite in the mountains, in a beautiful hotel. Upon arrival security checks were done and the staff were welcoming and courteous. It soon went downhill from there. We were escorted to the wrong room, when we were given the right one, it was not the suite we... more

We had an overnight stay at this hotel. We had booked using a pre-arranged concessionary rate as 'locals', and wanted two nights but could get only one (Thank God!). As we are 3, we were told it was not possible to add an extra bed in a standard room (It is perfectly possible at no charge in the Marina Plaza... more

We were originally booked in the Movenpick Petra, but the royal family took over the hotel and we were moved to the Nabatean. It was horrible. Dirty, small and downright nasty. The air conditioning didn't work. The lobby was ok. more

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel at the end of December. We had no choice but to stay here in Petra as all the other hotels were fully booked (at the time we made our reservation). Despite arriving in the early evening, the room was not ready for us. The shower was a DISGRACE. It barely dribbled out of... more

I have spent two nights at the Nabatean Castle as a part of a post-cruise package. We had a freshly renovated room, perfectly clean, with a fantastic view on the mountains surrounding Petra; however, some fellow travellers had complaints about their bathroom or the cleanliness of their room. The reception and bar staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is... more

Having read comments on Trip Advisor we were not really looking forward to our three nights here, but we had a great stay and were really pleasantly surprised. When we arrived we were given a room over the kitchens which was full of the smell of food so we managed to change it and had a great view over the... more

Some friendly staff at the security entrance and in the dining rooms, but in general a poor experience. No air con for much of the time (desk response: there are too many people staying" and difficult to get a response from the desk. On the other hand, nice pool, spectacular views on one side of the hotel, nice Dead sea... more
