If you're looking for consistency, a great location and good value and service in Bwindi/Buhoma, then this is the place! I have stayed in several places in Buhoma and Mahogany Springs is up there with the winners! The lodge is modern but with detailed design work - look closely at the carvings in the wood work. All areas (communal and... More

I absolutely rave at the beauty of Mahogany Springs. Designed with purely an African style yet the comfort remains un compromised. Attached to its beauty is the friendly staff headed by Jotham, who make the stay so very relaxing. I spent a night on a fine bed at the cottage which was close to the river; spiced up by roaring... I have only good things to stay about this place. It was the clear favorite of our accommodations in Uganda & we chose high-end places for our entire trip. We spent nearly all day on the (oftentimes really bad!) road driving from Kigali, Rwanda to Mahogany Springs & were immediately met with some cool, delicious drinks, given a tour &... More

From arrival to departure, the atmosphere at Mahogany Springs is so inviting and relaxing. The views of the hills across the river are so nice. I spent the whole day just relaxing here the day after the gorilla trek. The food was delicious, transportation spot on the staff was incredibly helpful but not intrusive. I'll always remember my terrific stay... More

We stayed at Mahogany Springs for two nights and what wonderful nights they were! The lodge itself is gorgeous with high vaulted ceilings and walls of windows to let you look out onto the steep mountains of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The staff were excellent, food was delicious, and the 3 Williams (resident cats) made us feel right at... More

Our three days and nights at Mahogoney Springs was truly memorable. Greeted by a refreshing drink and a welcoming staff was just the beginning of what was to be a 5 star stay in East Africa. Having been in Africa for three months my expectations were low and so finding such a paradise was a dream come true. How the... More

I stayed at Mahogany Springs for 3 nights in late February in order to see the mountain gorillas. I had a wonderful experience and cant recommend it highly enough. The staff were fantastic and the service and food excellent. The lodge is located in a picturesque valley with great views and is only 5 minutes drive from the park entrance.... More

We stayed at Mahogany Springs for two nights in mid-February and had a wonderful experience! The service was excellent, the rooms and common area were very comfortable, and the food was quite good (expect food with South Asian influence because the chef is Nepalese). On our first afternoon, we went on a guided walk to spot birds along the river... More

We had a wonderful 3 nights at Mahogany Springs while gorilla trekking. Everything was perfect - our room ("Henry") was large and spotlessly clean, we had 2 big beds and mosquito netting, and a big bathroom. The staff was very kind and helpful - Moses & David took special care of us! The special touches like hot water bottles in... More

Rooms are fantastic, service is wonderful, food is fantastic and staff are very friendly and helpful! Also only approximately a 5 minute drive from Bwindi impenetrable forest where you can trek to find the gorillas! Has wifi and DVDs if you feel like just sitting back to relax in their cosy lounge area. Definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone... More
