We never thought that we would get such a good place to stay. Out of Shivpuri's Tourist Village, Khajuraho's Hotel Payal, that we visited this MPTDC hotel is the best. I have stayed at the Betwa Retreat in Orchha in the past but I stayed there again on 15 March 2009 accompanied by my partner and daughter. the hotel was medium low/quality, not very clean (but you expect it in India), staff not specially friendly (you don't expect in India), food not good quality, service poor. But the real problem to me was tat they did not confirm the rate given to my travel agent (on paper) and doubled the amount. At the end I paid more... more
