Pushkar is really a dump. As far as I could tell we stayed at the best hotel in town; actually sort of on the outskirts of town. It seems like a very old hotel. But I'm actually not sure it is. Room was pretty spacious and bathroom also ok. Previous reviews have said it's dirty. Obviously they haven't stayed at... More

Pushkar, for a supposed holy place was an absolute dump. On the outskirts of the town there must have been 10's of thousands of plastic bag everywhere. Judging by the depth and range of the animal droppings, the so-called famous cattle and camel fair must be held daily. Not a place to stop for long. When we got to the... More

Do not stay here beware, think has many fake reviews. Really dated, unclean sheets and table cloths. A little out of town but not problem.. Electric keeps breaking and you get stuck in lift. Restaurant out of time warp. Just feels dirty and overpriced at £70 a night. Not luxury or premium. Weird mismatching chintzy furniture/ rooms. No people there... More

Once inside, it is so beautiful. Outside is a bit like a desert (i.e. the parking lot and beyond as it is a bit set back from the road). Food was average for India (still good but not as good as other places) Great service from the desk and restaurant. Wifi was free but went off and on and off.

Hotel out of the town, 5 minutes walk.  An old converted palace type building. Rather like staying in a museum. The rooms are large, painted ceilings and old, mismatched furniture but fine, although I do think they will probably be quite cold in Winter. They have ceiling fans and air conditioning. Lots of hot water, tea and coffee making facilities.... More

The Jagat Palace. While only considered a 3 star hotel in India. The hotel is lovely. Lots of history, with old pictures on the wall telling the story of the hotel. The antique furniture takes you back into time. If you are short, you may need a chair to help you get into the very tall canopy bed. The pool... More

This hotel was built in the typical Rajasthan style (see photo). The rooms are all equipped with antique style furniture. The beds are very high and the matresses hard (but I like that). The gardens are lovely. The food is pure vegetarion, as everywhere is the holy city of Pushkar. The choice of dishes is limited, but the taste is... More
