we stayed at rising star for five nights over holi, and our experience was absolutely fantastic. cheap, clean rooms, (some with balconies), delicious food and great coffee. the family were so friendly and helpful with our holi experience.

we also liked a lot the place, the family, the food, the cleanliness...just everyting. the balcony is peacefull to have a delishous meal or to chat on internet. The room is quiet and clean and the family is realy friendly

Very basic but clean room. Value for money and also served a great variety of food. Could get my car also parked nearby. Very helpful staff and a great roof top restaurant. The location is close to the ghats.

I booked a room for two nights on the basis of other tripadvisor reviews. The hotel is tucked into a neighbourhood two minutes off the main road and can be difficult to find at night (especially if there's a power cut!) It seems there is nothing this warm friendly family won't do to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. The rooms are exceptionally neat and clean. They have Wi-Fi available as well as a nice music system.

Charming family home with 2 levels of rooms. Extremely friendly and terrific food as well as great company. Lovely upstairs terrace to hang out on as well. Only 5 minutes from main bazaar but it's down a little lane (no cars, or even rickshaws) so its pretty quiet. Quirky and wonderful!
