As others have said, this is an idyllic situation, well placed to see Les Andelys, Giverny, Rouen, Honfleur, Caen, Versailles, Bayeux and Lyon la Foret. This was a wonderful place to base our 'Normandy' experiance from - but you will need a car & a GPS unless you are extreemly good at directions. We drove everywhere with the exception of Paris (where we used the train out of Val de Reul) and were just blown away by the countryside, beautiful farmland and wonderful little villages... more
