Clean, large room. Comfortable double bed. Room 24 had two windows - one with a view of town, the other a view of an olive tree! Air conditioner worked well. Bath was clean and adequate. We skipped the 6 euro breakfast for breakfast in the cafes in the town square. Park your rental car in the free parking down by... more

The Byron is a quaint and wonderful hotel a bit off the main streets of Nauplion. We stayed in a view room on the third floor and found it very charming and relaxing. The beds were excellent, the room was nicely appointed and quite large for a European hotel. Since it is behind the main streets of town, we did... more

The hotel is centrally located in the old part of town. You should pay the extra charge for a room with a view! The rooms are tidy and clean. The staff is friendly and efficient. The wireless internet works well in the whole building more

This place was great! Nafplio is beautiful, and this is a quaint little character hotel in the heart of old Nafplio and close to the water. When we checked in, we were actually upgraded since the window frames in our room had just been painted, and the room was very nice. The nicest we stayed on our 3 week European... more

Planned to spend one night in Naufplion and stayed three, the pleasure of Byron was one of the reasons. Room 21 has three long windows and a view, white curtains blowing in a breeze and apricot walls reflecting the sun. Another room on the same floor was dark and had one window, no view. People are nice. The strange bowl... more

I agree with all of the great reviews of this Hotel. It's really a very attractive, clean little place. We rented a "superior suite"--no view, but the room actually had a separate entrance down the steps from the main hotel, and it's own beautiful walled-in courtyard. Both the room and bathroom were fairly large for the price, and the decor... more

This hotel is perfectly situated, away from the crowds on the main square, but an easy walk to cafes, shops, tavernas, etc. The interior is tasteful and charming but not at all stuffy. The views are lovely and the staff are all friendly and willing to help in any way. I was able to connect my laptop via the hotel's... more

We stayed 3 nights at the Byron Hotel in Nafplio and enjoyed the stay. We got a room with a view - which had a balcony and we loved the location of the hotel. It was close to everything and a good value. The rooms are on the small side and the bathroom was tiny but the place was very... more

We stayed at the Hotel Byron in Nafplion for two nights on April 23-24, 2007, named after the great philhellene Lord Byron. This hotel dates back at least 150 years; it is directly across the street from St. Spiridon's, the church where the first president of Greece was assassinated in the 1830s. For us, the strongest point of this hotel... more

A simple, tasteful and charming hotel. The room was spotless and very nicely furnished, and the view from the balcony was outstanding - the perfect place to drink the local wine and watch the sun go down - and only 65 euro. One of the best rooms we've ever stayed in. A couple of points might matter to some people:... more
