I was really looking forward to visiting Naflplio and also our stay at the Amphitryon Hotel having read some of the reviews. This hotel did not disappoint, if you're looking a for a little bit of luxe in a great location. All restaurants, bars, are within very close walking distance and it does feel like you're on holiday. From the... more

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Amphitryon. We love staying here! The rooms are very well appointed - small but very nicely done (no chintz). The breakfast is excellent (honestly) as is the service. The one down side is that there is still no pool, but you do get free use of a cabin, towel and... more

Overall our stay at Amphytrion was an enjoyable experience. We only stayed for one night in Nafplion ( we watched a play in Epidaurus) and although it was peak season we managed to get a better rate over the phone than the ones we found on the internet. Still, 240 euro for this hotel is by no means reasonable. The... more

I am from Greece and because of my work I travel a lot and that is why I have stayed to many luxurius hotels, in all over the world. The previous weekend we decided with my husband to go to Nafplio that is near Athens and take our little baby with us. I had heard that nafplia palace was a... more

The hotel is located right in the centre of the lovely village of Nafplio. It is classified as a luxury accommodation and we found that it met the standard. The hotel had just been totally refurbished in a very tasteful modern style. Rooms are extremely nice, with lovely balconies that had an amazing view of the bay. Rooms were serviced... more

This hotel is overpriced and does not offer the level of service that one would expect from a member of the Leading Hotels of the World group. For starters, the rooms are loaded with useless technology that does not work. However, their internet capability is truly lousy...their wireless is only available in scant areas of the lobby, and forget about... more

The reviews on Trip Advisor were quite accurate. Given the absence of any other luxury properties in Nafplion other than the super-expensive Napflio Palace--a sister hotel of this place--, we decided to give this hotel a try. The room was a bit small for such an expensive place, but the design and bedding were exceptional. The staff was helpful and... more

We were booked into this hotel with our travel group. We were all booked into the cheapest (but still very expensive), most basic rooms, which is what my review is based upon. If you're into minimalism, then this is your place. Unfortunately, the advertisements, online reviews and even the hotel's website can be misleading. All rooms are advertised as having... more

The Amphitryon is a great hotel. Its position is perfect. As we sat on our terrace watching the water of the bay glistening in the sun it was hard to imagine that we were on the edge of a town. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they really could not do enough for us - including offering... more

After the Aegeon hotel in cape sunio where I stayed a couple nights, I decided to go to Nafplio and after looking around for good hotels the best one was the Amphrytion. We walked in and on my right I could see how close to the water it was. The front desk was very helpful and assisted us with our... more
