Our meal was tasty but not worth the extortionate price-tag. We had very little room even though we had booked our table months in advance and it was hot & uncomfortable. Will not return. more

This is a hard review to write because I think that how you feel about staying here depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a great night's sleep in a comfortable room, this isn't your cuppa. If you're looking to spend a night in a 300-year-old manor house with a history and which the proprietors clearly adore,... more

from the moment we left the main road and drove up the avenue, even in the driving rain, it was bliss, the welcome we received from the girls, the smiles and warm chat, the lovely scones and tea in the stunning drawing room. Bedroom was beautiful with a heavenly relaxing view over the land. Dinner that night top class and... more

I can only describe Inch House as a beautiful gem. I have stayed there a number of times. It is such a beautiful location, yet only a couple of minutes from the everyday bustle of Thurles. The rooms are superb, the room with the four poster bed is lovely. The owners daughter, whose name escapes me is a joy. Welcoming,... more

Inch House is a bit outside of Thurles, but it is well worth the drive. Upon arriving we were greeted by one of Nora and John's daughters who offered us a choice of two rooms and proceeded to show us the beautifully appointed sitting room. John and Nora and their family were very pleasant and helpful. Nora gave us directlions... more

Inch House is good "old fashioned" Irish hospitality in a genuine Irish country house. I spent two nights here while researching family history in the area. You approach up a long drive - I would guess some 500 meters - that winds through farmland. It is not actually in Thurles, by some distance outside They will give you a choice... more

It is worth your while if you are ever in this area to track down Inch house. It is just a short drive out of Thurles town and worth the drive as the accommodation in town is very below par,I know, I have stayed there. We only managed to find this little gem from trip advisor. It is very grand... more

My partner and I stayed at Inch House for one night in April-2007 and it was out of this world. The welcome that greeted us on arrival was reminiscent of Ireland 10-15 years ago (now sadly a thing of the past); warm and genuine. The room was beautiful. It was large with a tastful decoration that really made you feel... more

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary at the weekend. The house is so beautiful and the gorunds well maintained. The food was beautiful and the little bar nestled in the drawing room was splendid too. The most impressive part was the service. All the staff were excellent, the daughter of the house in particular was so efficient,... more

Nora & John Egan operate this 300 year old guesthouse on a 250 acre working farm in Thurles. My wife & I spent our first evening in Ireland with this amazing couple and their family. We could not have asked for a more pleasent experience. The setting is peaceful, the food is bountiful and wonderful, and the company is warm... more
