Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We will definitely be back. Chang Thai restaurant is exceptional. The staff were totally professional and welcoming. The location was in the centre of town which made everything within easy reach by walking.

Had a lovely overnight stay in Tracy's Hotel. The food was excellent. The staff were very helpful. The bedrooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. This was just an overnight stay but we will be back.

A lovely hotel in walking distance from everything one would require, history, shopping, restaurants and bars. We didn’t use the hotel restaurant for dinner but the bar was very nice. Aaron the barman treated us like royalty. This didn’t make us feel special as he seemed to treat everyone the same. A lovely room and a savage breakfast. What more could one ask for? I didn’t give a high mark for value below as I think every hotel in Ireland is overpriced. Everything else got a five.

Average hotel - good bed - good shower - very poor room lighting....even a lamp would help. room was a bit cold too. I wonder is it is the four star that it claims? It was a good location in the ton centre

We stayed for 2 nights mid week, the location from the bus stop and main town is just a short walk. The welcome from the receptionist on arrival was warm and professional. The bar staff are lovely, they made us feel very at home as did the locals. Ryan and Vanessa are a credit to your team. The food was very good too, I would recommend the Pad Thai. The only thing missing from this stay to have made it 5/5 across the board was better pillows in the rooms.

The worse hotel we have ever stayed in. The rooms were very outdated with bunkers just throw into the rooms with mattress so thin you may aswell be sleeping on the floor. Hotel rooms and bar, lounge area was freezing cold. We have a dinner included and they put us in the Thai restaurant which was absolutely freezing cold. The hotel was very under staffed and the staff were not very polite they had no interest in the people that payed money to stay. You also had to pay to use the facility's in the leisure centre which was a disgrace, this is not mentioned when booking. This hotel is also accommodates 376 refugees with more arriving when we were checking. These are all mixed on different floors of the hotel with other guests. No issue with the refugees but when your paying for a room and leave your room to see all these people lining up for clean towels and using the washing machines locate on the floor. The hotel should have more respect for these people and also for the people that actually paid money to stay. To say the least this was one of the worse hotels that we have ever stayed in for our Xmas break, will definitely not be back and would not recommend the hotel to anyone else.

Rooms are comfortable, well equipped and very clean and the greeting from reception on arrival is very welcoming. However, after checking in we went down to the bar to catch up with the rest of our family and all the bar staff were quite rude and unwilling to take our order. We had only arrived from a long drive and the staff were more interested in talking to friends, on their phones and stocking up on glasses and soft drinks than take an order??? I asked 4 times for a drink and when I did get served, I had to ask them to finish of the Guinness for me as again…to busy talking. Again after we returned to the hotel, the bar was still serving so we went in for one more drink…. And again the staff wouldn’t look at us but instead served their friends and came out chatting to them. I waited while 20 mins and asked a girl that threw her eyes to heaven when I asked for two drinks. Before we finished manager came around and asked us were we guests and I told her we were. She asked us if we wanted one more drink we would have to sit out in the seating in the hallway and a barman would come out to us. So we did and waited for 10 minutes and asked a member of staff could we order one more and they were rude and ignorant about it so we left. Very disappointing but after working behind bar myself you need to just get on with it. Manners cost nothing, maybe they should think about a new line of work
