We stayed at the Baiona parador for one night, en route from Santiago to Portugal. The parador is spectacularly situated, on a promontory and surrounded on three sides by water. We purchased our room for an offer price of EUR110, but were disappointed to be allocated a room without a sea view - one of the few, I imagine, in... more

This was a picturesque, beautiful place, with a fantastic, scenic view of the water. The staff were exceptionally friendly, although for non-Spanish speakers there might be a bit of a language barrier. I only had two quibbles -- first, the walls in my room were thin and noises from adjoining rooms and from the hall came through loudly, and second,... more

We were recommended to stay in this hotel by a Spanish friend who described it as 'the best hotel in Spain'. The location and rooms were nice but the staff and service was awful. We had booked a double room only to be shown to a twin room and told it would be an extra €90 for a double. When... more

If u go to Baiona, the Parador is a must stay place since its location is superb and you get to see splendid views of the ría. Me and my husbad stayed there for one night and the bedroon was pretty clean, although a little bit tight. Service was average; we asked for a map of the city and the... more

Arrangement The building is essentially two parallel corridors of rooms over three floors. Some rooms have sea views and are described as such in the online booking system. And of those hardly any have balconies. Well it is a castle. At the entrance end is the restaurant and bars and at the far end is the swimming pool and tennis... more

The Parador has an amazing setting, just surrounded by water and a beautiful scenery. It is quite pricey but for a couple of nights it is worth the stay. The hotel is beautiful, you really feel in a castle. Walking around it is just breathtaking. Food at the Taberna Restaurant was good. The beach is not even worth going to.... more

This Parador looks wonderful, but the servicee and especially the restaurant were absolutely rock bottom. We had booked it for three nights to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday - we left after one. I wrote a long and detailed letter to the parent organisation who took two months to reply with a computer generated standard letter. No offer was made... more

Stayed here for two nights at the end of our honeymoon this July and we were instantly wowed by the location and the opulent decor and atmosphere inside the Parador. We had notified them it was our honeymoon and asked for a room with a sea view. Not only did we get that, we got a room with a galleried... more

We stayed here on one of the last nights of a 2 week trip to Northern Spain and Portugal. We had many days of rain but the sun was shining and it was warm and bright when we arrived in Baiona. That may affect my view of the parador. All together, we thought it a great experience. The views over... more
