This was booked as a suprise for my wedding anniversary. I was totally taken back by the setting.
Larkhall is literally just off the high street of Jedburgh up a gravel driveway.
The owners were very friendly and gave us a choice of cottages! Fantastic when you think this was booked through a 3rd party website.
The cabins are all up a steep bank reached only on foot - cars must remain at the bottom. This is not ideal for those with any walking difficulties or those with lots of luggage.
we stayed in number 3 (the pink cabin) - this was a cabin on stilts.
It had a verandah & outside seating which was lovely, as the weather was great. Inside the cabin you get an all in one lounge/diner on the first floor - again this is well equipped with a small tv/dvd player/cd player/corner sofa and table chairs. There was also a bookcase with many books to choose from.
