We have stayed numerous times at Ancrum Craig as we love the peace and quiet. the warm welcome and the glorious Scottish breakfasts. We leave feeling recharged and completely relaxed. Lots to do in the local area and always something new to see and enjoy. More

This was our second trip to Ancrum Craig, the first being October last year. There is a warm welcome awaits you on your arrival with a welcome cup of tea, which is most appreciated after a journey. The rooms are very comfortably furnished, in keeping with the house. The selection offered for breakfast would suit anyone's taste and for folk... More

We have just reluctantly returned home from our latest visit to Ancrum Craig. I can't praise this haven of peace enough. When you first see it as you go up the drive it looks a really lovely building full of character. There is a large, splendid ,south facing, well kept garden at the front and it is lovely to sit out... At very short notice my wife and I booked this guest house and the help we received couldn't have been better. Right down to our own electric blankets to warm up our bed. Thoughtful touches make this a joy to stay in and whenever we are in the Borders this will be our only choice. More

I cannot review this accommodation as I was not afforded the privilege. Myself and 2 friends are to walk the St Cuthbert's Way in September. I am in the process of devising the itinereary. When I called to enquire re accommodation 6 months hence I was immediately told that Ancrum Craig was 5 miles off the walk. We knew that... More

2010 was our fifth visit to Ancrum Craig. When we are there the time flies by, just when we want to linger. The place has that affect on us. When I discovered it on the internet, I found it hard to believe it could be as good as it looked and sounded. It was and more. Even when it's rained,... More

This has to be one of if not the best B & B's in the UK. Stunning location with stunning views of the borders countryside. Quality is what this guest house is all about. Calling it B & B hardly does it justice. If you want the perfect setting for a holiday in the Borders this place ticks all the... More

Our fifth visist to ancrum Craig with our dog Charlie. Once again what's not to like? Lovely room with everything spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. Delicious home cooked scottish breakfast using homeproduce and locally sourced produce especially like the pork and black pudding sausage from the local butcher in Jedburgh. having spent three restful nights we leave feeling relaxed, recharged... Four nights spent in comfort surpassing our expectations on all fronts. Mr and Mrs Hensen are fantastic at running their beautiful B&B. Each morning spoilt by a great breakfast of own choice from a menu with a Scottish tinge. The area has not only beautiful scenery, walking paths , fishing and golf courses galore, it is for lovers of history... More
