For the past four years up to 30 members of our Association have met here for our annual pre-Christmas Lunch. We return by the consensus of opinion within the group. Robert and Audrey have alwqays provided us with a warm welcome and a superb lunch in the cosy ambience of this gem of an hotel. Nothing is too much trouble... more

I traveled with my sister and my older parents. The hosts Robert and Audrey were incredibly gracious. We arrived late, exhausted and were met at the door and our luggage was whisked upstairs. Rooms were large and comfortable. The food was fabulous both for breakfast and dinner. Our waiter Dominic was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. We even got some... more

After a long tiring day we stumbled upon this hotel and to our delight they had a room available for the night. We were met by the manager as we drove into the car park and he kindly allowed us to view the room before making a decision. Our minds were made up when we were greeted by a large... more

Our agent couldn't have selected a better hotel for us. Conveniently located smack in the middle of everything we wanted to see, the Jedforest was a beautiful, tucked-away, fairy-tale sort of place that you'd only expect in a novel. Attentive owners who couldn't do enough in service and advice for local trips, a server who seemed born for the job... more

Surrounded by lovely countryside and river where, even I as a beginner ,caught 3 brown trout, this welcoming hotel had everything we wanted. Food and service was excellent too. Half way from the north of Scotland where we were on holiday, to our home in England, it was a real treat and wish we could have stayed longer. We will... more

I find it impossible to comprehend that this hotel has any negative reviews. I've stayed there on a number of occassions over the last few years and have never received anything other than the most attentive service from the owners and staff. The rooms are well maintained, clean and of a good standard - and I've stayed in numerous hotels... more

We stayed here for one nght in May. There were only two other people in the hotel which we can now see why as it is very tired and appears to just manage to survive. The owner said we wouldn't find better food locally so we ate in the hotel and it was the worst meal we have ever had.... more

Travelling down the country, got fed up sitting on the motorway so decided to head cross country and found this hotel by chance. Fantastic location, great accommodation and a very warm welcome. So nice not to stay in the 'standard' hotel - would highly recommend. more

My wife and I visit the Jed Forest Hotel several times in the year for dinner on our own or with friends. It has one of the two or three best restaurants in the Scottish Borders. The evenings always start well, with the Restaurant Manager (Dominic) or one of the Hosts coming to greet us as we arrive; and this... more
