There were no negatives here. Excellent check-in, upgrade to a suite without hassle. One of the best breakfasts going. Their coffee was SO good, I asked to see the brand - Java. Three restful, quiet nights. Did have a glitch with my laptop - it wouldn't automatically connect. I had to phone for their IT support. Eventually we got that... More

Yes as everyone states it is an older property, and you notice the older smell in the upper hallways where our room was. It was easy to get to and very reasonable for Victoria. We were close to the Gardens and Butterfly conservatory, and not far from downtown. Breakfast was included for the price, we liked that we had a... More

Formerly "Comfort Inn & Suites," this property has been reclassified to "Econo Lodge and Suites" - and that fits perfectly with what travellers expect in that classification. Check in was quick and efficient - as was check out. Although this is an older property, nonetheless it has been generally well maintained. Our kitchenette was clean and well equipped. Exterior entrance... More

It is really not fair to criticize a hotel that is priced so low, but I have to be honest. When we checked into our room, the smell of pepperoni and onions was so overpowering my eyes were watering. We called the front desk, and they sent someone over who said it was cooking smells from the room behind us.... More

This Hotel is definitely basic accommodation, but the price is right. They even give you a chance to upgrade if available. Morning breakfast was quiet and comfortable. Room kept clean and was is special is that is very close to anywhere you would want to go in Victoria. Try to get a room away from the main highway as it... More

This hotel is basic accommodation. Rooms are large and come with an efficiency suite. So there is a stove, but no table to eat on. No microwave, but a small fridge. During our stay at check in we found the water running in the kitchen sink, no problem just turn it off right. Wrong. The tap was broken, a quick... More

The hotel is situated between two of the busiest and easiest roads to travel on in Victoria. We had a room in the "Executive tower". If you're a light sleeper or can't wear earplugs, you might want to get a room in the older main building. A lot of traffic noise. The room was great though. Clean and new and... More

Our room was facing the stop light on a four lane Island highway which made our room very noisy day and night. If you are driving south on Admiral Road you had to cross over a solid double yellow line which made your turn illegal. The carpets were filthy and needed to be shampooed.

What hot continental breakfast" -- possibly when you toast your slice of bread or add hot water to a package of oatmeal. OK the coffee and tea are hot. Our room was touted as having a "beautiful gorge view" --- well if you looked over the stucco railing on the second floor rooms you could see the far side of... More

Rooms 230-242 (we had 240) face the 5 deluxe cabins that face the Gorge Waterway. This might sound bad but you get a decent view for a much cheaper price. Our room had a kitchenette that was adequately stocked with supplies (which was a surprise to us). The wife wasn't thrilled with the "hot continental breakfast" expecting things like sausage... More
