Welcome to Creagan House, a seventeenth-century former farmhouse, set in the stunning Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The five comfortable guest rooms are furnished with antiques, fine quality fabrics and beautiful wall coverings. The lounge is a perfect place to relax and enjoy working your way through the extensive list of malts from the bar. It almost goes without saying that a hearty Scottish breakfast with many locally sourced products awaits you for the perfect start to your day. Although only an hour from Edinburgh or Glasgow, when you walk into Creagan House you will feel a million miles away. It is ideally located for touring, and with the Strathyre forest and Rob Roy Way accessible directly from the property it’s an excellent base for those wishing to walk or cycle.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friend and I were blown away by Creagan House. Rob and Milan couldn't have been more welcoming, and we felt very at ease using the guest lounge and being thoroughly nosy through the bookshelves. The room and the house overall was beyond all expectations, and the breakfast was also superb. I really can't find the smallest thing to pick at, except that we had to go home eventually! I would highly recommend.

We were greeted by Rob (and then met a Milan)at the door of this lovely Inn from 1635! They could not have been more welcoming. The room was small (1635!!!) but beautifully appointed and the bathroom was fantastic. They supplied super soft robes and slippers for us. A wonderful bed with extremely soft sheets made for a peaceful night’s sleep. The breakfast couldn’t have been better; one of us is a vegan and they went out of their way to accommodate this. I would highly recommend staying at this lodging!!

Creagan house is a beautiful, characterful building and the squirrels dart about while the chickens roam free in the interesting wee garden. The room we had gave us a lovely view and the hosts could not have been more attentive and kind. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a cleaner bathroom or room, ever. All in all, we hope to go back again to this beautiful place!

On arrival we were greeted by the new owners and hosts who were charming and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was warm, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We also had an excellent view of the Red Squirrels! Dining - whether in the evening or at breakfast is in the most imposing dining room. It was a home from home. We would very happily stay here again if we travel this way sometime.

Our second stay at Creagan House, to celebrate my husband’s birthday and retirement and to walk Glen Ogle. Andy and Kerry are brilliant hosts - friendly, helpful , nothing is a problem and a really lovely touch they had birthday banners and a card in the room ❤️ All food delicious and plentiful, excellent range of drinks. Very clean and comfortable room. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks again to our lovely hosts

We stayed at Creagan House for 3 nights, which was for bed, breakfast and dinner. The hosts were very welcoming and our room was comfortable and clean. The catering was excellent. It is a fixed menu for dinner but there was no problem accommodating a vegetarian guest in our party. The location is convenient and there is ample parking. An added bonus was to see red squirrels in the grounds. There is a good selection of alcoholic drinks, including some excellent whiskies. There is a cosy lounge and seating outside. From a Covid 19 perspective, the measures in place were thorough and explained to us on arrival. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

We had a five day stay at this lovely house. Not sure where to start with the praises. A beautiful property, scrupulously clean and comfortable, really friendly hosts who go out of their way to provide anything you need and delicious home cooked meals. All set in beautiful surroundings with walks and activities at hand. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Just got back from this excellent staycation, classed as a B&B ..but more like "Baby Balmoral!.(Simply Stunning). The scenery & location was breathtakingly beautiful ..& glorious views from all Windows. The B&B was spotlessly clean, luxurious..with lovely wee finishing touches. The food & drinks were delicious & we enjoyed the ambience & atmosphere in the cosy bar in the evening. Our wee dog had all his towels, treats, bowls provided & was thoroughly spoiled by the couple who own it. About the hosts.. Never have I experienced such wonderful warm, welcoming people in any of the many places I have visited, their kindness, care & consideration was second to none! I will definitely be going back again! I took my elderly mother who is disabled & the facilities were perfect..she absolutely fell in love with the place & Andy & Kerry too All in all an excellent & truly wonderful place to stay & the owner's really made it special for us.I cannot recommend it enough. My husband and I have just returned from a 3 day visit to creagans house. We were not disappointed. Warm welcome, spotlessly clean, quality linen in the bedrooms, (even dressing gowns and slippers which we didn’t use) , fresh decor, fluffy towels. Dining room is baronial in style and the crockery was a delight (just my taste - if you like unglazed pottery). Although advertised as a B and B ( which offers anything you want) they also do a two course set menu each night. This too was most acceptable. All in all Kerry and Andy go out their way to make sure you have everything you need. Very strict policy in place for covid too. You can watch the red squirrels 🐿 feed daily and the hens have the run of the garden. We had wonderful weather and were able to enjoy the stunning scenery at its best. If you are not happy there you are too fussy !!
