Rhian Cottage is a great location - just be careful of the drive & cattle grids! Very friendly dogs and hosts. Stuart even gave us a lift to the village in the evening. Rooms are comfortable with good en suites, excellent breakfast with nothing too much trouble. There is a residenents lounge and conservatory to use if you wish with... more

Stayed two nights with my girlfriend, while touring Scotland. Found their website and fell in love with the place the same moment. When Ada tried to call in the morning, unfortunately the Andersons weren't there. Nevertheless we drove to Tongue, and checked the Rhian Guest House. Both our smiles turned downwards when we saw the No Vacancy sign. Yet, i... more

My partner and I stayed here in July along with our dog. I enquired as to if they had any rooms a few months before and was told the Annex was available but it really hadn't been made clear the reason we were offered the Annex was because of the dog. So although they are "dog friendly" dogs are not... more

Hi Sue Thanks for your nice comments, sorry you found me scary but I expect it would be something to do with your dog having plucked and nearly killed one of my chickens. As a result, you have convinced us that we should no longer accommodate other dogs. It is a shame as we have had returning guests with dogs...

We only stayed here for one night but would have been happy to stay longer if we had time. Very pleasant and welcoming b&b with lovely surroundings and great animals. The weather was unkind, but that was not their fault! The room was clean and very comfortable. The conservatory is a perfect place from which to watch in comfort all... more

very good indeed. A small friendly place in stunning countryside. Owners very friendly and helpful. The rooms though small were very nice, cosy and comfy. Breakfast was very substantial and good, The only downside I can think of is that they don't offer evening meals (at least not when I stayed there) Given their location this is a disadvantage. We... more

Thanks for your compliments. Sorry we don't do evening meals but, in the season, both the Tongue and Ben Loyal Hotels do and they are only a mile away.

Our first stay at Rhian Guest House was in June of 2003, where we spent our honeymoon after being married in the local church. The hospitality and kindness we received from the owners, Jenny and Stuart Anderson, was wonderful. The same can be said of the local community, most of whom attended our wedding, and voluntarily worked hard to make... more

I loved the highlands and I loved staying here. Plush towels, towel warmer, so so clean, really good breakfast with home made breads, jams and marmalade. Porriage was steaming hot. Friendly dog likes to play frisby. Menues from local eateries for dinners. Very nice living room and conservatory for sitting in the evening. I would warn you not to stay... more

Rhian Guest House is located in a valley overlooking the outstanding Ben Loyan mountain range. Sitting on the outside deck, walking around their beautiful flowering yard, or sitting in the conservatory, the mountain range is beautiful. There are a number of small and large animals to view aaround the grounds of the guest house. The area was so beautiful that... more

Disappointing. The property is set in an Idylic location, but we were led to believe we were receiving a 3 choice per course Dinner when unfortunately it was one set meal.although adaquete. and it was not as remote as indicated. The annexe rooms were small damp and overpriced. more

Rhian was the perfect place for two suburbanites from Atlanta, GA. The drive north through Scotland to the extreme Highlands was peaceful and barren- bt Beautiful. When we got back, my mom asked me if we saw any sheep- I told her- more sheep than people!!! While at Rhian, (just the one night, while on our driving tour of Scotland... more
