Rhian guesthouse is just outside the village of Tongue, a short walk to the Ben Loyal hotel for dinner. The bedroom was small but clean and comfortable, and the use of the conservatory and lounge for guests made us feel quite at home. Good breakfast and both Jenny and Stuart were most helpful with local advice.

This is a perfect retreat for couples who are looking for a home base to explore the beautiful remote areas of northern Scotland. The breakfast was amazing, the owners very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere quaint and peaceful. It is located close to town for excellent dining and beverages and all of the locals we met were friendly and... More

Lovely location ,Clean and comfortable room.We loved the area even though it is a remote location.Had a one night stay which would have been great had it not been for the noise from the adjoining room.It was as though the family were in our room!We could hear every word also the creaking floor boards especially when they were having to... Lovely people, great location. Extremely clean and comfortable room. Fresh milk in the fridge for your tea/coffee (I know it's a small detail but I hate the UHT stuff!). Beautiful location. Would highly recommend to others. Great value for money.

This was a last minute booking, around 5pm asking if a very late arrival would be any problem, it wasn't. We didn't arrive until 10pm, after a very long drive, and were met by the owner and 3 friendly dogs. Nothing was a problem and we were shown to a lovely room which was spotless, you could tell just by... More

A stunning location just a little outside the village. We received a warm welcome on arrival and the owner happy to advise us on eating out and book us a table. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, the breakfast top rate and the price reasonable. Everything you could ask from a B&B

My wife booked the night of the 20th June for two couples by telephone. No requests or provisions were made to her. We had a pleasant evening meal in the Ben Loyal hotel and proceeded to the Rhian Guest House at 1930 hours. As we arrived there a party of four were leaving in a great hurry, presumably looking for... More

Thank you for your feedback but I must correct some inaccuracies. When requests for bookings are made by telephone (or email) a deposit is always requested, either by cheque or Paypal. This is also confirmed on our website, and in fact an earlier reviewer complained about this requirement. Bookings are not confirmed until we receive a deposit which is always... More

Located in a beautiful setting ¾ mile outside Tongue. This is a very peaceful location and all I could hear from the room was a Cuckoo and other birdsong. The room was in the main house and was immaculate. It was large, with a large en-suite and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and... More

Returned a week ago from the very North of Scotland where we spent six very enjoyable nights at this lovely place. Our room looked straight out onto the very scenic ,craggy Ben Loyal and the tree filled garden and rough land with sheep (and deer!)surrounding the house. This was our third holiday with the Andersons. They are a very pleasant,chatty,warm... More
