Wooden hostel. Full of beatles and spiders. You can't sleep more than 5a.m full of noise. The kitchen is useful but the kitchen stuff is always dirty. Ok it's close to the beach but is plenty of better hostel close as well but much better!

We stayed there for 3 nights. Lamrock Lodge is located only 200m from Bondi Beach in a very quiet area. Near shops, restaurants and cafes. Close to bus stops to other beaches or city (15min). One way bus ticket to the city will cost you 4,60AUD$ per person. Female staff was helpful as well as cleaning staff in the morning.... More

I understand the definition and idea of a 'hostel' is cheap, basic, budget accommodation but as far as I'm concerned that's not a reason for a 'hostel' to be a total hell-on-earth experience. I was booked in for 4 nights - I stayed for one, and even that was out of pure exhaustion. The Lamrock Lodge is on a dark... More

I know, I know- its a backpackers, I get that. However $80 a night is not so cheap that my sheets should not be washed. All I expect from backpackers is an attempt to keep what they have clean- its almost expected the building/room itself may be run down but unwashed sheets are unacceptable- I barely slept because I was... First and foremost I would like say to everybody who is complaining like crazy: stop it! It's so unnecessary. If you don't want to have to complain, go to something that is called a HOTEL. You know a hostel is very basic and may not always live up to your standards. I was more annoyed by all the people shouting... More
