I just returned form a week's stay at the Berkeley City Club. I adored it. I have to say, it really made my trip. The common areas of this hotel are beautiful. Amazing architecture and peaceful gardens - a perfect setting for an event such as a wedding. The rooms however, are seriously lacking. They are tiny - which would be alright if there were the standard conveniences such as A/C, TV, and a comfortable bed, but without those things it felt very cramped.... more

I stayed at the Berkeley City Club for a conference. The meetings were held at the Club. My room was nicely sized, with a comfortable bed, choice of pillows, sitting chair, and full bath.
