We have stayed at least 4 other LaQuinta Inns around the country and know what they generally are like. This is not a new building and it shows some wear in carpeting and the rooms. Stayed here for 3 nights to pick up daughter from college. Convenient location, room was nice, clean, beds were great, staff was knowledgeable and pleasant. I would stay here again. I wish the pool had been open to sit out at as for me it was hot enough, but it was definitely a nice enough, bright, clean hotel. more

It was cheap so we didn't expect much - there isn't much choice in Berkeley so we ended up here and were pleasantly surprise. It was OK - furnishings weren't great although the lobby is fairly sunny. I stayed for one night with a friend. The place is in the Berkeley urban area, 5 min drive from the centre. Everything I expected worked: a quiet clean room, decent internet connection (didn't work on the cell phone, though), good breakfast. more
