I went back to visit Berkeley for a memorial service for my mentor who was a professor at Cal. I chose this hotel because it has a great location to campus and is within walking distance to bars, shops and restaraunts. I stayed at the Hotel Shattuck a few years ago and I was pleasantly suprised. The Hotel exceeeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, the staff were frieindly, it was in a great location and it was reasonably priced. It's a great character hotel. I would stay there again.
