Let me start by saying that all vacationers BEWARE! It seems that Alpine Village Inn also goes by Lakeview Forest Lodge possibly due to the numerous bad reviews they've received under Alpine Village Inn so now they are trying to use a different name. I recently made reservations for my friends and I for the weekend of 2/23/2013 online and... More

Worst experience in my life... We booked the room on 12/11/12, for trip on 1/19/13 to 1/21/13, in the 1/19/13's 11am, my brother got phone call from Alpine Village Inn, said that they can't let us rent the place out in this weekend because they have major damage to the room now...so they have to downgrade our room from 6... I strongly advise you take the negative reviews very seriously. We were victims of a classic "bait and switch," as were several other people who review here. The lodging was frigid, "heated" by one small unit in the bedroom, which also had the only bathroom in the place. We had to request a space heater. The fireplace was broken -... More

Rented a cabin called "Moonridge Hideaway". I should've known something was up when there were no interior pictures on their slideshow. Cute on the outside- disaster on the inside. There were no shades on 2 of the bedrooms. I had to call the emergency number at 7:30 in the morning because both toilets were clogged and overflowing. Everything in this... More

The old hotel room was very dated but clean. It smelled a little but not sure where it was coming from. The TV was an old 19 inch box type. It was close to the village but not worth it for the price. I would definitely look else where for the price I paid.

We reserved AVI Spa 2 and we were put in AVI Spa 1 upon arrival. The room was dirty, it smelled bad, had paint peeling off of walls and was generally rundown. Someone had kicked in the door so the door casing was cracked and would not shut properly. Toilet clogs so much (& it did) a plunger is next... More

Cabins overrun with deer mice; should be closed down until tested for hantavirus. Value is very poor given lack of maintenance and cleanliness. Location would be an asset except for lack of upkeep. I seriously question the competence of county health personnel for apparent lack of inspections at this "resort".

Close to village but not worth the money. Owner, careen is really sweet but couldn't get towels on our second day, only one wine glass, carpet was dirty and we had 4 people on the room and ran out of hot water after only 2 had showered.

Sorry, but very rarely you find such a combination of bad customer service, bad accomodation, no view, no amenities, old and stinky furniture, probably collected from the garbage bin. We booked it due to the "in room spa" and convenient location but ultimately both were a joke. The "spa", was just a hot tub installed in the middle of your... More

We were not anywhere near as miserable as the 4 other reviewers for this, as we had a good experience. Maybe the owners took note of the previous "needs improvement" comments, because this place was not that bad at all, and we did not have "issues" with the management. We were looking for a place with a King bed, and... More
