The accomodations were nice, clean, and comfortable. This lodge is pet friendly. We traveled with our dog and could not believe how well manintained the property was. Responsible pet owners make a difference. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Big Bear! more

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The place is neat, clean, and comfy. Especially, if you bring kids, because it has a payground where the kids can play. Also, you can BBQ and picnic. Price is very reasonable. Location is so strategic and convienience. more

What a pleasant surprise! The Timberline Lodge is sprinkled with cabins. The cabin we stayed in was meant for no more than 3 people and located upstairs. We walked in and it was wonderful! There was a wood-burning fireplace, wood paneling, a full kitchen, bedroom and bath. The "wallpaper" in the bath and bedroom was hand painted! We locked our... more

I booked this online where there was a buy 2 nights get 1 night free offer, so 3 nights for just over $200 including taxes and fees. They have videos, books, free granola bars and tampons for the ladies when you register. We had a 2 bedroom cabin with 2 queen beds in each bedroom and it has a full... more

We found the Timberline by accident online and booked cabin 10 at once. Upon arrival, the service was excellent and the cabin was comfortable. The owner and his wife are nothing short of great people pampering us and assisting with information to make our stay even more enjoyable. Without a doubt, we will definitely return to the Timberline Lodge again... more

My husband and I just had our 2nd wedding anniversary, and spent a couple of nights at the Timberline Lodge. We had a studio cabin, with a King Bed. We walked in and were very excited at how cute it was. Exactly what we were hoping for. Cute old wood cabin that was well kept and clean. Management were very... more

The best thing I can say about timberline is their user friendly website and their free VCR tapes. The cabin (14) was not as nice as we had hoped. The price was cheap and we knew why the moment we opened the front door. It wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I think the main problem was... more

Initially the staff was pleasant, and the atmosphere was nice. The lodge sits up from the highway and had a lovely lake view. We stayed in unit #4, which had ample space for our three children. The rooms are spacious, and bbq's are provided. However there is no A/C and the room was a bit stuffy for August. I was... more

We're currently staying here and we've been here for about 4 nights. It's a great getaway spot at a great price. I've stayed at another lodge here for about the same price range and the difference is big. The cabins are a lot bigger here, even the cheaper ones. The atmosphere is soooo relaxing. There is always shade here and... more

We have just returned from a small family vacation from beautiful Big Bear Lake, California. We came across a lodge called Timberline Lodge through one of the local websites. It is located just on the outskirts of the village and only a couple miles away from the ski resorts. My husband and I were long overdue for a vacation with... more
