Overpriced describes it exactly! We payed $126....... It is like a low end motel 6 room for a Holiday Inn Express price. These rooms should be priced at about $90... it is old and it shows. Bagels for breakfast in the morning, or you can go to Hays street cafe for a good breakfast at a good price. more

We had a perfect stay at Ruby's Inn. Very kind lady's at the office that helped us with getting our room and plan our trips. We stayed 2 nights in total. We find the rooms very clean with a good soft bed, free and pretty fast internet (bring your own laptop!), a table and two chairs, tv, microwave, fridge and... more

We were headed for Lake Tahoe after Death Valley and pulled into Ruby Inn late at night as it seemed to be the only place open for miles. My friend and I did not find the gentleman at the check-in counter to be particularly nice. I asked for a standard room, and he said he had no idea what "standard... more

We have stayed at the Ruby Inn twice this summer. It is a little high in price for the location and type of room but they keep the place very clean, it's quiet and the staff is so friendly it's worth the extra money. My girlfriend and I ride motorcycles in the Sierras and like the fact that this motel... more

This hotel was our favorite of our recent vacation to California. Brought back lots of memories of my childhood vacations. Your traditional hotel of the 1960's/1970's. All that missing was the magic vibrating bed! Extremely clean and personalized service. This is the way a hotel should be. Yes, it was a little pricey but I would rather give my dollar... more

On a 10-day trip to California, we just happened upon this jewel! It's an older motel in a quaint little town, but it has been updated and is very neat and clean. The lady in the office was friendly and helpful. Drinks and snacks were provided in the office. The coffeepot in the room ground the coffee beans. There was... more

Spent two weeks at the Ruby Inn in Bridgeport, CA. The inn was clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and super helpful. The Inn has a daily continental breakfast consisting of danish, hard boiled eggs, fruit and juices which is a pretty good way to start the day. I would recommend the Ruby Inn without hesitation and plan... more

Clean and comfortable, staff helpful, continental breakfast ok. Weak laptop wireless signal in the room. Noisy air conditioning. A bit too expensive, considering it was low season and half empty. Keep in mind there is a high local tax, check when you reserve. I would first check other motels in Bridgeport before going back. more
