These owners are very sneaky and dishonest, they lied to us to cover up something they did and instead of being honest about what happened, they had the nerve to say the mistake was ours! My husband and I made reservations about 2 weeks before we be in Burney on Aug. 8th, we had the confirmation # written down. We... more

If you are going to stay here, definately request the new section of the hotel. Unfortunately for us, that section was full and we ended up in the older section with the swamp cooler instead of air conditioning. We had to leave windows open which was a bit creepy, but room was so hot when we checked in we went... more

This is the best motel in the town! The stay was great. The view of the motel was awesome. There were no complains, I mean the room were super clean and there wasnt one place to find a dust. They updated the motel and it looks safe and beautiful than ever! And the price was fair and affordable! I am... more

The Greeting, Arrangement & Check-in was fine. But the Manager (Quen?) was deceptive in the end. Although we had left the key (like many other motels) on the TV in the room (because of an early departure) and made a courtesy call that afternoon (3:42pm) about check-out. Quen (Ken?) insisted that the room key was not in the room (as... more

I requested a room in the new section thinking it would secure a nice room. Upon first glance, the room seemed clean. however, I could not find the remote control. Thinking it had fallen behind the tv, I looked and found beer cans and a beer bottle instead. Taking a chance, I checked between the cushions of the couch and... more

Due to other reviews, we specifically requested the new building when making our reservations. The Queen suite was very nice - comfortable bed, nice bathroom (no mold), refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker. DO NOT rely on the free Wi-Fi. The only place we were able to connect was in the office itself or right outside the door of the office.... more

THE TELL - On arrival to Burney at 4 PM, the other motels were full, this one still had multiple rooms available. THE GOOD - huge room with table and 3 chairs, full (almost, see the bad) kitchen. THE BAD - No coffee maker nor coffee pot, even though there was an end table, the phone and clock were on... more

The Shasta Pines is probably the best available in Burney. We stayed in a King Suite which consisted of a bedroom with king bed and a sitting area. The room was impeccibly clean. The bathroom sink area was adjacent to the sleeping area and not separated by a door. The room was equipped with a small refrigerator which was noisy... more

I was in Burney one night on business and my collegue and I thought we would pick a hotel when we got into town. Most of the hotels are very close to each other, so it was an easy mission. The Green Gables looked the most charming from the outside, but we decided to try the Shasta Pines as it... more
