Myself and 4 other coworkers stayed in this hotel... It was nice, but the staff made it a wonderful stay... Ana is awesome... she is a clerk at the desk... she is sweet, friendly and so hospitable... she is great more
The HIX Calexico is decent, but there are better hotels in the area. Specifically, the HIX El Centro (which is just 8 or 9 miles north of it) is much nicer.
When I arrived at the hotel in Calexico, I was informed that the elevator was broken. Despite this hiccup, the rest of my stay was acceptable. The hotel is your standard Holiday Inn Express, with the usual white linens and warm breakfast.
Still, I think you are much better off staying at the Holiday Inn Express in El Centro, which is much newer and in a better location (just off I-8, which leads to San Diego).
