Lots of potential: too much deferred maintenance and the buildings would benefit from design expertise. Dinner at the restaurant was above average although the chicken lacked flavor. Service was friendly and helpful and there were special touches such as bottled water outside every cabin and breakfast delivered in a basket every morning. Stayed overnight. The cabins can just fit the bed, and you hear everything the neighbors do- even the bathroom! I like how quiet the grounds were, though, and there is no forest as the website implies. The restaurant was good - and the staff friendly. more

The Saturday night special of Prime Rib is "unreal." They offer two cuts... the standard (pedestrian size) is more than large enough for the average diner... the Ranch Cut will feed "your family"!!!! Great, friendly, attentive staff... more

What a setting! Quaint little cabins overlooking an old walnut orchard. No phones, no tv just lots of green mountainside and pretty flower gardens. The onsite restaurant offers super-friendly service and homestyle charm, not to mention some great fried chicken! If you have a 4-legged friend, Triple S is also a great place to bring your hound. more
