The place is very nice. I liked everything including room, grounds, helpful staff and their restaurant. The room was super clean, and everything was working. Staff was helpful with just about any questions. They have two pools and they will serve food at the pool (not sure if they will serve it to family pool), but its special pool menu.... more

Great rooms. Loved the cruiser bikes and used them every day. Huge swimming pool and only my husband and I seemed to use it. Great service from the front desk who organised an amazing wine visit for us. Our only complaint was the huge portions in the restaurant. overfacing. Wonderful room service breakfast. more

I am an EA in SF, and booked a group of 24 to stay the night, have spa treatments and visit wineries. They were helpful and resourceful and the service was ABOVE and BEYOND. We wanted for nothing. The place is gorgeous, clean, well designed. The food was AMAZING. What else is there to say?? If you need help with... more

To be fair, the hotel is physically lovely. The physical layout and rooms are very nice. Particularly for a family, the cottage with two rooms connected by a hallway was great. HOWEVER, the service was not up to snuff. We have prevously stayed at Calistoga Ranch which is owned by the same group and there the service was fanstastic. You... more

Really are you joking... the prices for this glorified motel six. The only reason I didnt leave was the staff is so nice. So lets begin... TV didn't work (yes just like 1 star hotel) and they seemed ok with that - no transfer of rooms, no new tv, room service after 10pm - no one answers the phone, decor... more

I went with two girlfriends for a long weekend and we all give it rave reviews. We are mid-thirties, all well-traveled, and found Solage to be fabulous all around. The customer service starts as soon as you drive up to check in - everything taken care of, the concierge was amazing and got us hooked up very last minute with... more

-Service is awful. Pool attendants ask you daily for your name and room number even when only 10 people go to the pool (like you jumped the fence). A local line cook remembered my breakfast sandwich the second time I went for no financial gain, but this hotel has no clue how to recognize guests even in the low early... more

Pros: Restaurant: The restaurant is absolutely delicious!! Very low key, laid back and unpretentious. We had dinner at the restaurant one night, and the mushroom pasta and heirloom tomato salad there was phenomenal. It was light but flavorful and the ingredients were very fresh. I would say the restaurant was my favorite thing about the hotel. Bicycles: We loved that... more

Good: 1. Great rooms, stylishly designed,a very comfortable bed and a nice terrace. 2. Nice toiletries for Mrs G. 3. Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming staff. 4. Families and couples catered for very well with enough privacy and intimacy. 5. Superior Spa. 5* massage, facials and top products (Kate Somerville). Fair value. 6. Nice touch with bicycles for each villa.... more

Having spent the previous week packing in as many sights as we could around the California coast, it was fabulous to come to the Solage Calistoga. As you arrive, it looks very unassuming, but the service and facilities were outstanding. Our little cottage was comfortable - perhaps that was the only slightly disappointing thing about the hotel - it felt... more
